The footpath is cut into the rocks next to the sea, leading to Preveli. Except a natural sculpture there is an astonishing palm forest stretching along the river at both sides. |

| At the ford the water is only knee-deep, sometimes there is a footbridge so crossing the water is rather comfortable. Another footpath is leading up to the parking and to the public bus stop with destinations Plakias and Rethymnon. This page can only show a small part of the phantastic landscape around Preveli, further surprises are to be expected when you are here. |
