drive on the island's only highway to Rethymnon, take the second exit towards Spili, after 20km turn right towards Plakias and follow the winding road through Kourtaliotiko Gorge as well as the village of Asomatos. After Asomatos turn left to drive downwards, after 2km turn left to Preveli and cross the venetian bridge after a while. Turn right at the other side of the river and keep following the road over another small bridge. The road leads through a valley towards the sea which will be reached after few km.
